Further Cautionary Announcement
The Aveng board notes today`s press reports in respect of the proposed BEE
transaction in Holcim (South Africa) (Proprietary) Limited. The board would
like to draw shareholders` attention to the company`s cautionary announcement of
16 March 2007 and re-iterates that it continues to be engaged in constructive
discussions with Holcim Limited (Switzerland) regarding the proposed BEE
transaction in Holcim (South Africa).
Accordingly, shareholders are advised to continue exercising caution when
dealing in Aveng`s securities until a further announcement is made.
