Shareholders are advised that the annual financial statements for the year ended
31 December 2006 were posted on Wednesday, 18 April 2007 and there has been no
changes to the reviewed results which were released on SENS on 15 March 2007.
PricewaterhouseCoopers Inc. audited the results and their report is available
for inspection at the company`s registered office.
Notice is hereby given that the annual general meeting of Basil Read will be
held at 388 Gild Road, Lilianton, Boksburg at 10:00 on Thursday, 10 May 2007.
The notice of annual general meeting is detailed in the annual report, which
contains the abovementioned annual financial statements of Basil Read.
