APPOINTMENT OF LAZARUS ZIM AS CHAIRMAN
Further to the announcement made on 10 March 2007 and consistent with the terms
of the transaction with Afripalm Resources (Proprietary) Limited, Mr Lazarus Zim
has been appointed as Chairman of the board of Mvela Resources. Mr Zim succeeds
Mr Tokyo Sexwale, who steps down, but will continue to occupy a non-executive
role on the board.
Mr Sexwale has served as Chairman of the board of Mvela Resources since February
2002 and overseen the development of the Company into one of the leading
diversified mining companies in South Africa. The board looks forward to his
continued participation as a non-executive director of the Company
