publishing an abridged report at this date because the audited financial

Notice is hereby given that the 40th Annual General Meeting of Grindrod will be
held at the registered office of the Company, Quadrant House, 115 Victoria
Embankment, Durban at 14h30 on 23 May 2007, to transact the business as set out
in the notice of annual general meeting circulated together with the annual
financial statements.
