ADVERSE AUDIT OPINION ON ANNUAL FINANCIAL STATEMENTS

The JSE Limited wishes to advise that the audit opinion on Pachold`s annual
financial statement for the year ended 30 June 2006 contains an adverse audit
opinion. Shareholders are advised to refer to the annual financial statement to
ascertain the exact nature of the adverse audit opinion.
Accordingly, the company`s listing on the JSE SETS system will continue to be
annotated with an "A" to indicate the adverse audit opinion. The annotation will
be removed when the company`s auditor`s report no longer contains an adverse
audit opinion.
This announcement has been placed by the JSE in the interest of shareholders.
