CHANGES TO RESPONSIBILITIES OF EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
DIRECTOR: John Edward Miller
POSITION: Chief Executive Officer
DATE OF RETIREMENT: 30 June 2007
GijimaAst Group announces that John Miller, currently the Chief Executive
Officer, will retire effective 30 June 2007. John is already beyond the Group`s
official retirement age and stayed on to complete the merger between Gijima
Group and AST Group of companies.
The Group is currently evaluating both internal and external candidates to
succeed John in the Chief Executive Officer position. John has been offered a
non-executive Board position.
From an operational point of view, the GijimaAst Board believes they have
suitable and competent executives, who will continue executing the Board`s
approved strategy for the Group.
Mr Robert Gumede, Executive Chairman, and the other members of the Board of
Directors would like to express their sincere thanks for the leadership and
contributions made by Mr. Miller and his guidance in steering the Company
through difficult times.
