RESIGNATION OF NAGUIB KHERAJ AS A NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF ABSA GROUP AND ABSA
BANK
Mr Naguib Kheraj has resigned from the Absa Group and Absa Bank boards with
effect from 30 April 2007.
Mr Kheraj served on the above boards as a representative of Barclays from 27
July 2005, the date Barclays took control of Absa. His resignation from the
above boards follows his resignation from the Barclays PLC and Barclays Bank PLC
boards on 31 March 2007.
An announcement with regard to his replacement on the Absa Group and Absa Bank
boards will be made in due course.
