SIMMERS AND INVESTEC BANK LIMITED ENTER INTO SECURITIES LENDING AGREEMENT
Simmers, the holder of approximately 67.2% of the issued and outstanding common
shares of First Uranium Corporation ("First Uranium"), announces that it has
entered into a securities lending agreement (the "SLA") with Investec Bank
Limited ("Investec"). Under the terms of the SLA, Simmers will make available
to Investec up to 7.5 million common shares of First Uranium, representing
approximately 6.2% of the issued and outstanding common shares of First Uranium.
Simmers has no current intention to sell any of its shareholding interest in
First Uranium and has entered into the SLA with Investec solely for purposes of
increasing the liquidity of First Uranium`s common shares on the Toronto Stock
Exchange and the JSE Limited.
The SLA supersedes the previously announced intention of Simmers to loan 5
million common shares of First Uranium to RBC Dominion Securities Inc. ("RBC").
Five million of the 7.5 million common shares of First Uranium to be loaned by
Simmers to Investec under the SLA will be allocated to a securities lending
agreement between Investec and RBC.
