In terms of the "Scheme of arrangement/Mandatory event" by a consortium of
investors to acquire all shares in Edcon for a cash consideration of R46.00 per
share, ECO is now:
Last day to trade: 2007/05/04
The Listing of EDCON on the JSE will be suspended as from 2007/05/07.
Record date: 2007/05/11
Accordingly, holders of Investec Bank`s JSE code "ECOIDC" Enhanced Dividend
Security will receive the intrinsic value of the security, i.e. R46.00 less
strike of R20.00. The holders will therefore receive payment of R26.00 on
2007/05/14.
The last day to trade in ECOIDC is 2007/05/04. Despite the expiry of ECOIDC
being 2007/11/15, the ECO enhanced dividend security (ECOIDC) will cease to
exist as of 2007/05/07, as a result of ECO being suspended. ECOIDC will
therefore delist at commencement of trade on 2007/05/07.
