EXTENSION FOR THE POSTING OF THE JOHNNIC CIRCULAR
Shareholders are referred to Johnnic`s announcement published on SENS on
22 January 2007 and in the press on 24 January 2007 in which they were advised,
inter alia, that:
- in terms of a series of transactions Johnnic has through the acquisition of
a subsidiary, Blue wolf Energy holdings LLC (a limited liability company
formed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, USA), acquired
approximately 93.5% of Montauk Energy Capital LLC (a limited liability
company formed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, USA)
("Montauk") from DQE Financial Corporation and has paid US$61.1 million in
respect of such transaction ("the Transaction"); and
- a circular relating to the Transaction was being prepared in accordance
with the provisions of the JSE Listing Requirements and will be posted to
shareholders.
Shareholders are advised that the JSE has granted Johnnic an extension for the
posting of the circular as the financial information of Montauk, in the form
required by the JSE, is currently not available. Shareholders will be advised
of the posting of the circular as soon as it is posted.
