CHANGES TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Mr Guy Harris has resigned from the Board of Bell with immediate effect
as a consequence of needing to comply with a provision in the
shareholders` agreement between IA Bell & Co (Pty) Ltd and John Deere
Construction and Forestry Equipment Company, the two principal
shareholders, which limits the number of executive directors. The Board
has paid tribute to Mr Harris for his contribution to their deliberations
over the years and is pleased to report that he will continue to serve
the group as an executive director of the main South African operating
subsidiary.
