CHANGES TO THE IMPERIAL HOLDINGS BOARD, EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE AND SENIOR
MANAGEMENT:
Imperial wishes to announce that Mr Ralph Boettger, the executive director
responsible for Logistics, Aviation and the group`s heavy commercial vehicle
distribution operations, has resigned as Director and member of the Executive
Committee of Imperial Holdings with effect from 31 May 2007.
Mr Boettger will take up the position of Chief Executive Officer of Sappi
Limited. He joined the Imperial group in 1998 with the acquisition of Safair
and was appointed to the Imperial Holdings Board in November 2002.
The board of Imperial wishes him well in his new position, and announces the
following internal management changes:
Mr Marius Swanepoel, chief executive of Imperial Logistics in Southern Africa,
has been appointed to the Executive Committee.
Mr Hugh Flynn, currently chief executive officer of Air Contractors in the
aviation division, has been appointed as chief executive of that division.
Mr Hubert Brody, executive director of Imperial Holdings, will assume
responsibility for the heavy commercial vehicle distribution business, in
addition to his other responsibilities in the group.
Mr Bill Lynch, Imperial`s CEO, recently announced his intention to retire at the
company`s Annual General Meeting in November. The process of appointing his
successor is progressing according to plan.
The changes are effective from, 1 June 2007.
