FULFILMENT OF THE FINAL OUTSTANDING CONDITIONS PRECEDENT TO THE SCHEME OF
ARRANGEMENT
Barplats shareholders are referred to the announcement of 9 May 2007 and
accordingly advised that the final outstanding conditions precedent to the
scheme of arrangement, as proposed by Eastplats in terms of section 311 of
the Companies Act No. 61 of 1973, as amended, between Barplats and all of
its ordinary shareholders, excluding certain excluded parties, have been
fulfilled, in so far as the Order of Court has been registered with the
Registrar of Companies and the necessary approval from the Toronto Stock
Exchange has been received.
