GROUP FIVE EXECUTIVE TEAM FURTHER STRENGTHENED
Group Five is pleased to announce the appointment of Tim Woodhead to its
executive team with immediate effect. Woodhead was the group`s strategic
development director from 2006 to late last year before becoming the MD of the
group`s recently acquired materials businesses, Quarry Cats and Sky Sands.
Woodhead has almost 20 years` experience in the construction sector, with more
than seven years in construction materials. He joined Group Five in 1992 as the
MD of SA Readymix Concrete. After building this business into a strong market
player, he became the MD of IDS and Intertoll from 1995 to 2006.
CEO Mike Upton welcomed Woodhead to the executive team and acknowledged his role
in identifying appropriate acquisitions to create Group Five`s Materials
business unit last year. Woodhead will work with the MD of Manufacturing and
Construction Materials, John Wallace, to develop the Group Five Construction
Materials business cluster.
