CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
Shareholders are referred to the interim results announcement dated 3 May 2007
in which they were informed that "the directors of the company are actively
engaged in determining a course of action which will provide the best long-term
outcome for shareholders".
In this regard, shareholders are advised that the company is involved in
discussions for the acquisition of a number of properties with a view to, inter
alia, lifting the company`s suspension on the JSE Limited ("the JSE"). If the
discussions are successfully concluded they may have a material effect on the
price at which Shops for Africa`s shares trade on the JSE. Accordingly,
shareholders are advised to exercise caution when dealing in their Shops for
Africa shares until a further announcement is made.
