Metair appoints new Chairman:
Metair Investments Ltd ("Metair") today announced that Mpueleng Pooe
(appointed to the board on 11 April 2007) has succeeded Alan Plummer as
Chairman with effect from 7 June 2007. Mr Plummer remains on the board as a
non-executive director.
Mr Pooe (47) is Executive: Public Affairs at Royal Bafokeng Holdings (Pty)
Limited, where he is responsible for the development and management of
stakeholder relationships. He holds a B. Proc degree from the University of
the North, a Certificate in Advanced Corporate Law and Securities Law from
UNISA, and has completed the Management Development Programme at the Gordon
Institute of Business Science.
He was appointed to his current position in 2006 following three years as
Executive Director (Legal and Commercial) at Royal Bafokeng Resources
Management Services (Pty) Limited and four years as Legal Counsel at
AngloGold Ashanti Limited. Previously, Mr Pooe was a Director of
Johannesburg-based legal firm Bell Dewar and Hall and served as an Acting
Judge in the Labour Court of South Africa.

Metair Investments:
Metair encompasses a portfolio of companies manufacturing and distributing
products predominantly for the automotive industry.
Automotive components are supplied primarily to South African assemblers of
new vehicles ("OEM`s"), but the group also supplies components for the
replacement market and a proportion of output is exported.
Products manufactured include heating and cooling systems, shock absorbers,
springs, lead acid batteries, lighting and signalling devices, plastic
mouldings, wiring harnesses and front end modules.
