Strike At Choco 10 Gold Mine in Venezuela                                       
Johannesburg, 19 June 2007.  Gold Fields Limited ("Gold Fields") (NYSE,         
JSE, DIFX: GFI) regrets to announce that mining operations at the Choco 10      
Gold Mine in Venezuela have been interrupted as a result of strike action       
by the local Union, due to an unsettled wage dispute.                           
Management continues to engage with the interested and affected parties and     
aims to resolve the situation as soon as possible.                              
Further updates will be issued should there be a change in the situation.
