POSTING OF RESPONSE DOCUMENT AND
REMINDER OF CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT OF 11 JUNE 2007
Shareholders are referred to the initial Cautionary Announcement published on
26 October 2005, as well as to subsequent Cautionary Announcements, relating
to the sale by Anglo American plc ("Anglo American") of its shareholding in
Highveld to Evraz Group S.A. ("Evraz"), and specifically to the announcement
issued by Evraz on 4 June 2007 regarding the offer to minority shareholders
and the offer document posted to shareholders.
Shareholders are herewith advised that the Board has formulated a response to
the offer and has today posted its response document to shareholders.
Shareholders` attention is further drawn to the cautionary announcement dated
11 June 2007 relating to the negotiations regarding the potential sale of
Transalloys, one of Highveld`s ferro-alloy divisions and are therefore advised
to continue to exercise caution in dealing in their Highveld shares until a
further announcement in respect of the potential sale is made.
