Trading update
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, companies are
required to publish a trading statement as soon as they are satisfied that
a reasonable degree of certainty exists that the financial results for the
period to be reported on will differ by at least 20% or more from the
financial results for the previous corresponding period.
Shareholders are advised that Wescoal is currently finalising its results
for the year ended 31 March 2007 and are advised that it is expected that
its earnings per share would be 40% to 50% lower and headline earnings per
share would be 5% to 15% lower than that of the previous corresponding
period.
The above information has not been reviewed or reported on by the company`s
auditors. The company`s results for the year ended 31 March 2007 are
expected to be published on SENS towards the end of June 2007.
