On 7 July 2006, Metorex Limited announced that it would dispose of its 74%      
interest in Wakefield Investments (Pty) Ltd to Shanduka Coal (Pty) Ltd for R315 
million, subject to Competition Tribunal approval (`the transaction`).          
Shareholders are advised that the Competition Tribunal has unconditionally      
approved the transaction.
