Dealing in securities by a director
Shareholders are advised that on 28 June 2007, Altron Chairman and Founder,
Dr WP Venter disposed of 7 000 000 Altron participating preference shares
on the open market for a total sale consideration of R329 million.
These shares represented 3.3% of the total issued share capital of Altron`s
participating preference shares and does not in any way impact upon the
Venter Family`s control of the Altron group which is maintained through the
voting ordinary share structure.
The sale by Dr WP Venter of these participating preference shares, which is
principally a portfolio re-alignment exercise, will also assist in
increasing the liquidity of the stock, which has been regularly requested
by institutional investors.
