APPOINTMENT OF CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Imperial is pleased to announce that Mr Hubert Brody (43) has been
appointed as chief executive officer of Imperial Holdings Limited,
succeeding Mr Bill Lynch who will relinquish his executive responsibilities
with effect from today. The appointment was made after an extensive search
by the Nominations Committee, during which a number of external and
internal candidates were interviewed.
Hubert is currently an executive director of Imperial. He joined the group
in April 2000 as chief financial officer of Imperial Bank and was appointed
as Motor division chief executive in 2003.
Mr Lynch will remain on the board as a non-executive director, making
available his considerable experience and knowledge of the group but has
decided not to make himself available for the position of deputy chairman
as was earlier indicated.
Hubert said that he was looking forward to the challenge of managing a
group as successful as Imperial with its decentralised management culture
and excellent portfolio of mobility businesses.

CHAIRMAN AND DEPUTY CHAIRMAN
The process of identifying an independent black deputy chairman is
continuing. As previously announced, Mr Leslie Boyd, who was due for
retirement as chairman at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting, has
agreed to make himself available for re-election to ensure continuity
during the transition to a new CEO and the appointment of a new chairman.
OTHER APPOINTMENTS
Imperial is further pleased to announce that the following members of the
Executive Committee will be appointed as executive directors of Imperial
with immediate effect:
Osman Suluman Arbee (47) B Acc (Hons), CA (SA) H Dip Tax
Mr Arbee is the CEO of the Car Rental and wholly owned tourism division.
Osman also heads up the group`s Transformation Committee. He is a director
of Imperial Bank Limited, Distribution and Warehousing Network Ltd and
Ukhamba Holdings (Pty) Ltd, a Black Empowerment company associated with
Imperial Holdings and its black employees. He is a former senior partner at
Deloitte & Touche, and joined the group and the executive committee in
September 2004.
Nazeer Hoosen (42) BCompt
Mr Hoosen is the chief executive officer of Regent Life Assurance Company
Ltd. He joined the group in November 1996 as financial manager of Regent
Life, was appointed to the Regent Life board in 1998 and became chief
executive in June 2002. He was appointed to the executive committee in
March 2004.

Hubert joined the group in April 2000 as chief financial officer of
Imperial Bank. He was appointed as chief executive of the Motor Division in
July 2003 and to the executive committee in March 2004.
Hubert was born in 1964 and matriculated from the Durbanville High School
in 1981. He completed a B Acc degree at the University of Stellenbosch in
1984 and a B Acc (Hons) degree in 1985. He completed articles at Theron Du
Toit and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1989.
He is married to Larisa with two young children.
