Change in directorate
The board of directors of Spescom ("the board") wishes to announce the
following board changes with effect from 9 July 2007:
The chairman of the board, Mr Jim Myers has stepped down and Mr Mutle
Mogase has been appointed as non-executive chairman of the board.
In view of the imminent retirement of the current chief executive officer
of the company, Mr Tony Farah, the board has appointed Ms Jene Palmer,
currently chief financial officer, to the position of chief executive
officer.
Further announcements with respect to the appointment of a new chief
financial officer will be made in due course.
Both Mr Myers and Mr Farah will remain on the board as non-executive and
executive directors respectively until the end of the current financial
year, being 30 September 2007. The composition of the board will be
reviewed following the departure of Messrs Farah and Myers.
