TRADING UPDATE
In terms of the Listings Requirements of JSE Limited, companies are required to
publish a Trading Update as soon as they become reasonably certain that the
financial results for the period to be reported on next, will differ by more
than 20% from the financial results for the previous corresponding period.
Shareholders are advised that Grindrod is currently finalising its interim
results for the six month period ended 30 June 2007 and that it is expected that
the Company`s earnings per share and headline earnings per share should increase
by between 20% and 23%, compared to the corresponding period of 2006.
The forecast contained in this Trading Update has not been reviewed or reported
on by the company`s external auditors. Grindrod will release its interim
results for the six months ended 30 June 2007 on or about 15 August 2007.
