registered as such in terms of the Collective Investment Schemes Control
Act, 45 of 2002 (the "Act")

DISTRIBUTION ANNOUNCEMENT
The manager and trustees of the Satrix Collective Investment Scheme (being
Satrix Managers (Proprietary) Limited and ABSA Bank Limited respectively)
have resolved to make a distribution to holders of Satrix 40 securities
recorded in the register in respect of the quarter ended 30 June 2007. This
distribution will:
- be an amount of 9,35 cents (nine point three five cents) (R0,0935) per
Satrix 40 security;
- constituted by 9,35 cents in respect of dividends;
- be made to all holders of Satrix 40 securities recorded in the
register on 29 June 2007; and
- be effected on 27th July 2007.
The dividend for the quarter ended 31 March 2007 constituted 12.85 cents in
respect of dividends and 5,40 cents in respect of manufactured dividends.
The Satrix 40 securities had a Total Expense Ratio (TER) of 26,02 basis
points (0,2602%) (annualised) for the period 1st January to 30th June 2007.
Charges, levies and fees relating to the management of the Satrix 40
portfolio equivalent to 26.02 basis points (0.2602%) of the average net
asset value of the portfolio (on an annualised basis) were incurred. This
ratio does not include the cost of acquiring assets. The current TER
cannot be regarded as an indication of future TERs.
The Satrix 40 portfolio engages in scrip lending activities, with the sole
aim of reducing the net expenses in the portfolio. All income received from
scrip lending is used to defray expenses in the portfolio. The Actual
Expense Ratio (AER), including the impact of scrip lending for the above
period and the cost of acquiring assets is 11,58 basis points (0,1158%) on
an annualised basis.
