TRADING STATEMENT
Further to the trading statement issued by Distell Group Limited ("Distell") on
Friday, 20 July 2007, shareholders of KWV Investments are advised that for the
year ended 30 June 2007 the basic earnings per share is expected to be between
55% and 65% higher and headline earnings per share ("HEPS") between 40% and 50%
higher than that of the comparative year ended 30 June 2006.
On an adjusted basis, i.e. before taking into account the non-recurring portion
of BEE costs of R20.0 million in the previous financial year, HEPS is expected
to be between 25% and 35% higher than the HEPS of the comparative year ended 30
June 2006.
According to Distell`s trading statement the increase is largely attributable to
an improvement in trading income and reduced financing costs.
The forecast financial information on which Distell`s trading statement of 20
July 2007 is based has not been reviewed or reported on by Distell`s auditors.
