Settlement of litigation
Sun International shareholders are referred to the announcement published on
the Securities Exchange News Service ("SENS") of the JSE Limited on 2 May 2007
in which shareholders were advised that the Afrisun Leisure Investments
(Proprietary) Limited ("Afrisun") litigation against Sun International (South
Africa) Limited ("SISA") was proceeding and that SISA was continuing to defend
the claim.
Having regard to all relevant circumstances SISA believes that it is in the
best interests of all its stakeholders that the matter be resolved and has
accordingly agreed to an out of court settlement of R110 million with Afrisun
in exchange for a withdrawal of the legal proceedings.
