CHANGE IN MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES AND SEGMENTAL REPORTING
Johncom today announced the following changes to the Group`s management
responsibilities and segmental reporting:
Nu Metro Theatres (currently part of Retail), Nu Metro Distribution (currently
part of Group Operations) and Nu Metro Home Entertainment are grouped together
in a single Entertainment segment headed by Fay Amaral.
The Africa segment, now mainly focusing on retail, is combined with the Retail
segment headed by Fred Withers.
The Group Operations segment accounting for Distribution, Manufacturing and
Support Services is dismantled.
Distribution is combined with Books and Maps under the leadership of Brian
Wootton. Books and Maps currently houses Booksite Afrika, a warehousing and
distribution business.
Manufacturing is combined with Music with separate operational management
responsibility led by Herman Trollip and Ivor Haarburger respectively. The
Warner Gallo joint venture continues to be reported separately with
Associates.
The Media segment headed by Mike Robertson remains unchanged.
The change in segmental reporting will take effect from 1 October 2007 when
the the change in responsibilities is planned to be complete.
