TRADING UPDATE
Shareholders are advised that management`s expectation for the company`s
earnings for the year ended 30 June 2007 compared with those of the prior
comparative period, are as follows:
EBITDA between R850 million and R950 million (30 June 2006 - R371 million).
Basic earnings between 170 cps and 190 cps (30 June 2006 - 54.3 cps).
Headline earnings between 100 cps and 115 cps (30 June 2006 - 47.7 cps).
Shareholders are advised that the EBITDA and basic earnings include the
financial effects of the Wakefield Coal Group disposal, and that this
financial information for the year ended 30 June 2007 has not been reviewed or
reported on by the company`s auditors. It is anticipated that the results for
the year ended 30 June 2007 will be published on or about 23 August 2007.
