Shareholders are referred to the Further Cautionary Announcement published
on 14 July 2006 where shareholders were advised that Evraz Group S.A.
("Evraz") had an option to acquire Credit Suisse`s entire shareholding in
Highveld.
The attention of shareholders is drawn to the announcement issued on 1
August 2007 by Evraz regarding a decision to exercise the option and
acquire Credit Suisse`s shareholding. A copy of the text of the
announcement is attached below for information purposes.

"Evraz purchases a stake in Highveld from Credit Suisse
August 1, 2007 - Evraz Group S.A. (LSE: EVR) ("Evraz") announces that the
Board of Directors has approved the purchase of a 24.9% stake (24 687 876
shares) in Highveld Steel and Vanadium Corporation ("Highveld") from Credit
Suisse International for an amount of up to US$219 million, thus exercising
an option to increase Evraz`s stake in Highveld pursuant to an earlier
agreement. The option is to be executed before October 1, 2007.
