TRADING STATEMENT
The directors of Bell advise that the unaudited, but reviewed, results for the
six months ended 30 June 2007 which are due to be released via SENS on Friday 10
August 2007, will reflect a marked improvement in profitability after tax, up
from R102 million for the six months ended 30 June 2006 to approximately R182
million. This translates into earnings per share of 192 cents (June 2006: 108
cents) and headline earnings per share of 192 cents as compared to 108 cents for
the six months ended 30 June 2006. This information will be available on the
Company`s Investor Relations website www.bellir.co.za.
