The JSE Limited ("JSE") has approved the listing of the abovementioned
securities and trading will commence on 8 August 2007. All members of the
JSE may participate in trading, which will occur according to normal JSE
Rules. No emigrants or non-residents, both referred to as Restricted
Shareholders, may participate in the Enhanced Dividend Securities (EDS)
programme. As the securities have been dematerialised, settlement will be
effected electronically through the STRATE system of the JSE and
accordingly, certificates evidencing the securities will not be issued to
Holders.
Members of the JSE are notified of a new function of the Enhanced Dividend
Securities (EDS) product, now included in the latest listing supplement
covering Investec`s new issue (see above), enabling Holders to
automatically re-invest the settlement proceeds back into the next series.
In line with preferred market practice, this new listing of EDS will now be
automatically re-invested into the next series at the Expiration Date (15
May 2008) without requiring any action by the Holders. The number of new
EDS taken up by Holders will be governed by the following formula:
Number of New EDS = Cash Settlement Amount/Issue Price of New EDS
Where: "Cash Settlement Amount" = Number of EDS held on that day multiplied
by the excess of the Closing Price of the underlying parcel on the
expiration date over the Exercise Price.
Should holders wish to exercise the EDS for physical shares they will need
to notify Investec of their intentions prior to the close of business on
the expiry date.
