DECLARATION OF PREFERENCE DIVIDENDS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the following preference dividends have been
declared for the six months to 31 August 2007, payable on Monday, 10 September
2007.
The last day on which shares will trade cum dividend will be Friday, 31 August
2007. Shoprite Holdings Ltd preference shares will trade ex dividend as from
Monday, 3 September 2007. The record date will be Friday, 7 September 2007.
Share certificates may not be dematerialised or rematerialised between Monday, 3
September 2007 and Friday, 7 September 2007, both days inclusive.
