CONTINUED SUSPENSION OF THE LISTING OF THE SECURITIES OF EMERGENT
Following an announcement made by the JSE Limited ("the JSE") on 26 July 2007
that the listing of Emergent would be terminated with effect from Monday, 13
August 2007, the board of directors lodged an appeal with the JSE.
The JSE has agreed to hold the termination of the company`s securities in
abeyance for a period of thirty days, resulting in the securities remaining
suspended during the period up to 10 September 2007. The JSE will be furnished
with the signed agreements that Emergent has concluded with the private equity
investors for the acquisition of a property portfolio.
In accordance with the above, a further announcement will be made in due course.
