TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, companies are required
to publish a trading statement as soon as they are satisfied that a reasonable
degree of certainty exists that the financial results for the period to be
reported upon next will differ by at least 20% from that of the previous
corresponding period.
Seardel will shortly be finalising its results in respect of the year ended 30
June 2007. Shareholders are advised that at this stage it is anticipated that
earnings per share will be lower by between 30% and 45% and headline earnings
per share will be lower by between 65% and 80% when compared to the previous
year.
The financial results on which this trading statement has been based have not
been reviewed or reported on by Seardel`s auditors. The annual report to
shareholders will be released before the end of September 2007.
