RESULTS OF THE RIGHTS OFFER
Further to the announcement dated 18 June 2007 giving the salient dates of the
rights offer of 23 333 333 ordinary shares at R15 per share to raise R350 000
000, the directors of York have pleasure in announcing the results of the rights

Shareholders are advised that Blackstar Investors plc ("Blackstar") exercised
its rights in respect of 10 000 000 rights offer shares at R15 per share.
Blackstar`s new total number of shares held is 16 135 854, amounting to 20.5% of
the total issued ordinary share capital of York.
The CSDP or broker accounts of dematerialised shareholders were debited and
updated on or about Monday, 27 August 2007. New share certificates will be
posted to certificated shareholders on or about 28 August 2007.
