RESULTS OF THE GENERAL MEETING AND SALIENT DATES
The Directors are pleased to announce that at the General Meeting of Marshalls
shareholders held on Friday 31st August 2007, approval was received by the
requisite majorities for the passing of all the resolutions proposed thereat.
The implementation of the various resolutions approved is subject to the
timetable set out below:

Dematerialised shareholders accounts Monday, 1 October
updated with new name
New share certificates will be posted Monday, 1 October
to those certificated shareholders who or within five
surrender their share certificates or business days of
other documents of title before 12h00 receipt thereof if
on 28 September 2007 on or about surrendered after
28 September
Please note that the above dates are subject to amendment in the event that the
necessary special resolutions are not registered by CIPRO timeously. Details of
any amendment will be released on SENS and published in the press.
