DECLARATION OF A DIVIDEND OF 482.26 CENTS PER NON-REDEEMABLE, NON-CUMULATIVE,
NON-PARTICIPATING PREFERENCE SHARE ("CAPITEC PREFERENCE SHARE DIVIDEND")
The directors of Capitec are pleased to announce that they have declared a
second Capitec preference share dividend on Friday, 31 August 2007 (Capitec`s
half-year period) and have instructed that payment be effected on Tuesday, 25
September 2007. This is the earliest date possible in terms of the JSE Listings
Requirements. Capitec is the only bank issuer of such preference shares in the
market to declare the dividend as early as the last day of the reporting period.
The preference share dividend for the six months ending 31 August 2007 amounts
to 482.26 cents per share. The salient dates for the payment of the preference
share dividend are set out below:
Last day to trade cum-dividend Friday, 14 September 2007
Trading ex-dividend commences Monday, 17 September 2007
Record date Friday, 21 September 2007
Payment date Tuesday, 25 September 2007
Share certificates may not be dematerialised or rematerialised between Monday,
17 September 2007 and Friday, 21 September 2007, both days included.
