TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of the JSE Limited ("JSE") Listings Requirements, companies are
required to publish a trading statement as soon as they are reasonably certain
that the financial results for the current reporting period will be more than
20% different from that of the previous corresponding period.
In accordance with the JSE Listings Requirements, AOE advises that it expects to
announce earnings per share for the year ended 30 June 2007 of approximately
67.1 cents in comparison to earnings per share of 30.2 cents for the prior
comparative period. Headline earnings per share for the year ended 30 June 2007
is expected to be approximately 67.1 cents compared to headline earnings per
share of 33.5 cents for the prior comparative period.
Shareholders are advised that the above information has not been reviewed or
reported on by AOE`s external auditors. The company`s results for the year ended
30 June 2007 are expected to be published on or about 14 September 2007.
