UPDATED SALIENT DATES AND TIMES IN RESPECT OF THE CHANGE OF THE NAME OF THABEX
Shareholders are referred to the SENS announcement of 8 August 2007 and are
hereby advised that the special resolution for the change of the Company`s name
to Thabex Limited has been duly registered with CIPRO.
For a period of not less than one year, the Company will reflect the former name
"Thabex Exploration Limited" on all documents of title in brackets beneath the
new name of "Thabex Limited".
Shareholders are hereby advised that the new salient dates and times of the name
change are as set out below:
Last day to trade Friday, 28 September 2007
Change of name effective from Monday, 1 October 2007
commencement of trading on

Notes:
1. Shareholders will not be able to dematerialise or rematerialise securities
in the name of Thabex Exploration Limited after Friday, 28 September 2007.
2. Certificated shareholders do not have to surrender their old certificated
shares as these will still be valid for purposes of dematerialisation. Any
new certificated shares issued after Friday, 5 October 2007 will be issued
in the new name of Thabex Limited.
3. The company shall not change its short names, JSE code or ISIN code.
