Enaleni Pharmaceuticals to resume manufacturing on selected lines
Shareholders are advised as follows:
Enaleni Pharmaceuticals Ltd has received Medicines Control Council approval to
resume production on certain contract manufacturing lines, namely the Dettol and
Disprin ranges, in a new upgraded interim production area.
Since halting production at the end of June, Enaleni has fast-tracked work on
its upgrade to international PIC/S compliance and constructed an interim
production area with an independent, balanced and qualified HVAC system and two
new GIGA Press machines, each capable of producing 4500 tablets per minute.
Staff who will be working in the new area have already received substantial cGMP
(Good Manufacturing Practice) and related training relevant to the manufacturing
processes.
The upgrade to the 10 000m2 Durban-based manufacturing site remains on target
and budget, and the final phase is due for completion in April 2008.
