TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited ("JSE"), a listed
company is required to publish a trading statement as soon as it becomes aware
that its financial results for the next reporting period will differ by 20% or
more from a profit forecast previously provided to the market in relation to
such period.
In terms of the listing process, SAFIC Holdings issued a prospectus dated 15
November 2006. The prospectus included a profit forecast for the group for the
year ending 30 June 2007.
Shareholders are advised that SAFIC Holdings is currently finalising its results
for the year ended 30 June 2007 and are advised that SAFIC Holdings`s earnings
per share for the year ended 30 June 2007 is expected to increase by between 15%
and 25% over that of the forecast and headline earnings per share for the year
ended 30 June 2007 is expected to increase by between 20% and 35% over that of
the forecast. This financial information on which this trading statement is
based has not been reviewed or reported on by SAFIC Holdings`s auditors.
The results for the year ended 30 June 2007 are expected to be published on SENS
by the end of September 2007.
