DELAY IN PUBLICATION OF RESULTS
Cautionary
Further to the cautionary announcements, the most recent of which was released
on SENS on 6 August 2007, Samroc is still involved in the discussions referred
to therein. Samroc shareholders are accordingly advised to continue to exercise
caution when dealing in their Samroc shares until a further announcement is
made.
Delay in publication of results
Further to the announcement released on SENS on 1 August 2007 regarding a fire
at the Greenhills plant, Samroc shareholders are advised that among other things
the fire destroyed all the recent financial records of the company. This has led
to a delay in finalising the preliminary results announcement for the twelve
months ended 30 June 2007. It is expected that the results announcement will be
published by the end of the second week of October 2007. Full production at the
plant resumed within two weeks after the fire, causing negligible disruption in
supplying customers` orders.
