TRADING UPDATE
Shareholders are advised that the losses and headline losses for the year
ended 30 June 2007 are expected to be lower in relation to the comparative
period in the prior year, moving from a loss of R3,479 million reported in
the prior year, to an expected loss of between R1,541 million and R1,699
million and an expected headline loss of between R1,487 million and R1,640
million compared to a headline loss of R 3,062 million for the prior year.
The loss per share is accordingly expected to decrease from a loss of 0.6
cents per share to a loss of between 0.28 and 0.30 cents per share, whilst
headline losses per share are expected to decrease from a loss of 0.5 cents
per share to a loss of between 0.27 and 0.29 cents per share.
The decline in losses is primarily attributable to a decrease in operating
expenses.
The results for the year ended 30 June 2007 are expected to be published on
SENS on or about Friday, 28 September 2007.
This trading statement has not been reviewed or reported on by company`s
external auditors.
