1 Results of general meeting
Shareholders are advised that, at the general meeting of Shops held at the
registered office of Shops today, all the resolutions were passed by the
requisite majority of shareholders present and represented by proxy.
The special resolutions will be registered with the registrar of Companies in
due course.
2 Transfer of properties and lifting of suspension
All the necessary approvals have been received to affect the transfer of the
properties as set out in the circular to Shops Shareholders dated 5 September
2007. The JSE Limited ("JSE") has agreed to lift the suspension of trading in
Shops shares on the JSE once the properties have been transferred.

Notes:
1 These dates and times are subject to amendment. Any such amendment will be
released on SENS and will be published in the South African press.
2 Shops shareholders will not be able to dematerialise or rematerialise Shops
shares after Friday, 19 October 2007, and may only dematerialise their new
SA REIT shares from Monday, 29 October 2007.
3 Shops shareholders who surrender their existing documents of title after
the record date, being Friday, 26 October 2007, will have their new share
certificates mailed within five business days of receipt thereof by the
transfer secretaries, by registered post in South Africa, at the risk of
the Shops shareholder concerned.
