REVISED TRADING STATEMENT
Shareholders are referred to the trading statement published on SENS on 28
September 2007 where they were advised that the headline earnings per share and
earnings per share for the year ended 30 September 2007 are expected to increase
by between 140% and 160% in comparison to the prior financial year as a result
of a strong performance by the insurance and asset management operations.
Shareholders are hereby advised that the headline earnings per share and the
earnings per share of Indequity for the year ended 30 September are now expected
to increase by between 1380% and 1400% in comparison to headline earnings per
share and earnings per share of 5,69 cents relating to the comparative period,
being the year ended 30 September 2006.
The expected improvement in earnings and headline earnings is due to an
exceptional contribution from the investment banking division.
The financial information on which this trading statement is based will be
reported on by the group`s auditors.
The results for the year ended 30 September 2007 are expected to be released on
3 December 2007.
