A portfolio in the Satrix Collective Investment Scheme ("Satrix"), registered
as such in terms of the Collective Investment Schemes Control Act, 45 of 2002
(the "Act")

DISTRIBUTION ANNOUNCEMENT
The manager and trustees of the Satrix Collective Investment Scheme (being
Satrix Managers (Proprietary) Limited and ABSA Bank Limited respectively) have
resolved to make a distribution to holders of Satrix INDI securities recorded
in the register in respect of the quarter ended 30 September 2007. This
distribution will:
- be an amount of 17,20 cents (seventeen point two zero cents) (R0,1720)
per Satrix INDI security;
- constituted by:
- 12,93 cents in respect of dividends; and
- 4,27 cents in respect of other income;
- be made to all holders of Satrix INDI securities recorded in the register
on 28 September 2007;
- be effected on 26 October 2007.
The Satrix INDI securities had a Total Expense Ratio (TER) of 36,59 basis
points (0,3659%) (annualised) for the period 1 January to 30 September 2007.
This ratio does not include the cost of acquiring assets. The current TER
cannot be regarded as an indication of future TERs.
The Satrix INDI portfolio engages in scrip lending activities, with the sole
aim of reducing the net expenses in the portfolio. All income received from
scrip lending is used to defray expenses in the portfolio. The Actual Expense
Ratio (AER), including the impact of scrip lending for the above period and
the cost of acquiring assets is 26,99 basis points (0,2699%) on an annualised
basis.
