ANNOUNCEMENT
JOHANNESBURG, 24 OCTOBER 2007. The management of Northam Platinum advises that
mining operations were resumed at the company`s Northam mine in the Limpopo
Province today, Wednesday 24 October 2007. This follows the lifting of the
order imposed by the Department of Minerals and Energy under Section 54 of the
Mine Health and Safety Act in terms of which mining operations at the mine were
suspended on 16 October 2007.
Northam Platinum estimates production losses of some 6 500 ounces (3PGMs + Au).
