PRESS RELEASE - CONTACT AWARDED
GijimaAst Group and its consortium has been awarded a major contract by the
Department of Home Affairs for the implementation of the "WHO AM I ONLINE (I AM
I SAID)" project. The Department is gearing up for the 2010 FIFA World Cup and
this project is central to their systems renewal programme spearheaded by new
Director General, Mavuso Msimang.
"This contract is the single largest to be awarded by SITA (State Information
Technology Agency) and the Department of Home Affairs and will significantly
increase GijimaAst Group`s revenue stream for the next 5 years. The successful
negotiation of the supplier agreement will be finalized in the next few weeks"
says Robert Gumede, Executive Chairman of GijimaAst Group.
