RESULTS OF THE PRIVATE PLACEMENT
The private placement of ARB shares, which closed on Wednesday,
7 November 2007 was substantially oversubscribed with strong interest from
a broad spread of institutional and retail investors.
As a result, the maximum of 70 000 000 ARB shares will be allocated and placed
at a price of R5.10 per share, raising a total amount of R357 000 000. The
settlement date of the private placement and the listing date of ARB on the
JSE Limited is expected to be Tuesday, 20 November 2007.
